The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

If you have a scheduled appointment or other business at the MTF, please verify with your provider or applicable office within the MTF to ensure there are no changes in schedule. To learn how the lapse in appropriations affects your TRICARE benefit, visit www.tricare.mil/shutdown

Health Services

Laboratory

Welcome to Naval Health Clinic Corpus Christi Laboratory. The Laboratory performs a wide range of lab tests in-house including Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Serology, and Microbiology.  Some lab tests including Tissue Examination, PAP smears and non-routine tests are sent to a reference laboratory.
Fasting and Special Diet Specimens - Some tests may require you to fast for up to 12 hours and/or require a special diet.  Your provider of the lab will instruct you before any labs are drawn.
Lab Results - Do not call the lab for your results.  The laboratory personnel can not release results to patients. Contact the clinic where you were seen for results.
Civilian Lab Orders - The lab honors lab orders from outside civilian providers.  Request must be on a legible prescription or lab order forms with your provider's name, address, phone number, and fax number.  Your provider must sign lab orders.  Results will be faxed to your civilian provider once completed.
